Yeban : the authentic Korean cuisine

13/03/2018

The restaurant looks like a korean barbecue place with traditional korean wallpaper. Even the toilets are outside which is not uncommon in Korea.

The menu is short which is always a sign of good quality.

Moussam Mali (vegetable rolls) : a very fresh apetizer, visual is very elegant. The vegies are crunchy and the sauche is light. Nice way to start the meal.

Teukgalbi (beef and vegetable sweet and salty patty, vegetables) : just like in Korea, the meat is sweet and melts in the mouth. The vegetables are not exceptional, pretty french in my opinion.

Daigi koukbap (pork based soup, glass noodles, rice) : the pork flavour is very nice. Clear soup. Needs to be seasoned with marinated salty shrimps. The rice can be eaten separately or poured in the soup. Dish that cannot be easily found in Korean restaurants in Paris.

The side dishes are good but the quantity is poor. Refills are not usually granted.

Restaurant within the average korean restaurant prices in Paris but with a very good quality and homemade dishes.
