Fou de pâtisserie : the concept store for the greatest sweet creations

07/04/2018

If you want to try pastries from the biggest parisian dessert houses without having to go through all Paris, Fou de Pâtisserie is for you ! The selection is constantly renewed.

Be advised that the shop is very small and there are only two table for two outside so be prepared to ask for takeaway. Tip : if you want to eat it somewhere nearby ask for a spoon.

The ricotta cheescake from Acide Macaron : adding a french twist to this dessert is quite original. The ricotta is very mild and delicate, the heart is filled with a fruity and acid kalamansi and black lemon taste. The crumble is nice. Overall it was very good but it did not have a huge impact on me.

Tarte poire, gingembre et vanille from Un Dimanche à Paris (pear, ginger and vanilla "tarte") : the pear gelée is very savory, acid and fresh. The almond and hazelnut biscuit is good and crunchy. Pity that the ginger cream masks the fruity flavor and weighs it down, could have done without it. Really like the fresh slices of pear that are add a nice and fresh visual to the dessert. It was the tarte of March, can't wait to taste the one of April !
